Synopsis
A graphic narrative based on the lives of native people in Andhra Pradesh, to interview them and construct a narrative inspired by their stories.
I chose Kalyani, a traffic police constable whom I met at a crossroad in a nearby village.
My mom says, "When you educate a man, he's educated, but when you educate a woman, her entire household benefits." Kalyani is from a small town called Tenali, where she works on the farms during the day and dreams through the nights. Balancing her roles as a mother, a wife, and a traffic constable, she never seems to get a break. But what keeps her going?
